Renault Fans Gather This Year in the Spirit of Vasarely

Vasarely50

Renault Group Hungary, the Facebook community that brings together lovers of the brand, has now been around for fifteen years — and this round anniversary is intertwined this year with two further jubilees in a special way: the 50th anniversary of the founding of the JPM Vasarely Museum and the 120th anniversary of Victor Vasarely's birth. The three milestones come together on 22 August at Széchenyi Square in Pécs.

Since much of this year’s tourism programme in Pécs is built around the Vasarely 2026 – Pécs jubilee year, it is only natural that the Renault Group Hungary community’s traditional annual meet-up should join in as well. Together with the JPM Vasarely Museum, the organisers will also present a genuine design rarity to the public: Renault’s diamond-shaped logo, created jointly by Vasarely and his son, Yvaral, in the 1970s, which has since become one of the most iconic visual symbols in the brand’s history.

The event thus goes beyond a standard car meet-up — here, art and industrial design join hands as well. It is open to everyone: visitors can admire unique vehicles, get a glimpse into the community’s everyday life, and even look forward to a few small surprises. Separate activities are planned for children, parents, enthusiasts of modern technology, and those seeking a dose of nostalgia.

Further details can be found on the Renault Group Hungary – Vasarely 120 Facebook page.
